Not as good as from scratch, but pretty darn moist and delicous.

And, I'm not a huge fan of chocolate, but this fudgy frosting was pretty dang tasty!
We got the cake safely to Sammy and Johnny's house, thanks to Sammy giving us a ride. I did not come up with any clever, or even simple costume, so there were no disguises at this event.
Sammy made a wonderful Spanish torta for dinner.
It was a great mix of potatoes, zucchini, and egg.
The surprise ingredient was tuna, of which I'm not a big fan. But, it ended up being quite good!
We followed dinner with, you guessed it, Uno and then Canasta. Sammy and I redeemed ourselves as the winners of the night. Yay for us!! I'm pretty sure I may be dealing with full-fledged Canasta addicts at this point. Every time I see Johnny or Sammy, they ask when we will be playing it again. I'm not ready for an intervention yet, but if I need help, I'm going to call ECL in to talk them down, ha!

Why would you stop playing CANASTA! I wish I were there to play...sigh...and of course to see you and Wilman.
I'm still working on being a lady-that-lunches who plays CANASTA! Oh, with a lovely mink coat too....
love you later.
I still haven't found anyone to play CANASTA with me.
