The Pie Hut is not shaped like a pie as The Pie Hole is in Pushing Daisies, but it is still pretty cute.
The adorable menu board!
Allison admires ONE of the pie cases.
A favorite pie of mine at The Pie Hut, the Red Delicious. It is a blending of cherries, strawberries, and raspberries......YUMMY!!
This is a photo of a magazine cover hanging in the shop. The owner and pie baker is featured. She said that during the busy part of the summer, she bakes 60 pies a day! At this time of year, she only makes around 30. Okay, only 30, I guess she's a slacker!!
The owner and our server. Dana said he thought that our server was channeling the Kristen Chenowith character from Pushing Daisies. At first, I wasn't sure...then I found this picture, courtesy of ABC.

For the love of pie! Our waitress was so excited when I asked to take her photo. She kept giggling and thanking me for taking the picture.
My family brought fresh apples and apricots from Montana to bake pies. A couple days after our time at The Pie Hut, we got in the mood to bake. Allison is the pie pastry master, so he whipped those out. Dana and I each took a filling. Dana mixed up the apple; I made the apricot. Allison finished the top crusts and baked the pies.
They look great!
Allison cut an apple in the top of the apple pie for vents. He is so talented!
On the apricot, Allison carved some sibling pride--our initials!
Apple pie a la mode--it really is an American classic! The crust was buttery and flaky! The filling cinnamony and delicious!
We all enjoyed the apricot pie as well. It, too, had a cinnamony and not too sweet flavor...wonderful!
