A Day out with Friends

Jov, her mother, her sister Di, and her sister Nene (?)

Several weeks ago, one of Wil's friends, Jov, invited me to visit her home and meet her family. Jov was also a CAss student in Oregon, so I had met her a few times in the past.

Wil took me part way to her house and then she met us to take me the rest of the way, as Wil had to head to work. Jov was surprised when I agreed to ride on a motoconcho, motorcycle taxi, to her house. But I did, and we did, and it worked out great.

When I arrived her sister had prepared a really nice lunch for Jov and me. At first her sisters were both very shy and stayed in their bedroom while Jov and I visited. But, eventually we decided to go to a park that they all enjoy, El Mirador. It's several acres of green space and playgrounds.

We enjoyed the swings!

Jov wanted to try out the wobbly bridge. Her sisters thought that she was crazy!
The teeter-totter was fun, too. We even had a little boy jump on to try to help Jov's sister out!
All-in-all a fun afternoon. We visited and Di had many questions for me. Jov translated some, and I was able to understand some. That's pretty much my general experience here! Some understanding!!

Oooooh Jojo, you're havin' so much fun. It's awesome how colorful all the paints are that they use everywhere down there. I bet you're gonna miss Wilman & everything when you leave soon. But you'll be returning so don't be sad. What a wonderful adventure you're having. xo
