After our walk, we made it home for some crusty bread, jam, and tea. Eventually we had Thai from Wil's and my favorite place in Portland, Pad Thai Kitchen. Sorry, honey, but we could not resist.
My friend, TJ, picked me up at ECL's, and we headed back to her house via her older son's school. Finally, we got to their house, so I could properly play with her 2 sons, D and J.
Here is D showing me one of his many tricks. He's so clever and fun!
And, this is the new little baby, J, just 2 1/2 months old.
Precious!
Char generously offered to host a get-together at her place on Friday night. When I first arrived, I could tell that Greg had been busy putting up some of their art. I had to chuckle when I saw this...
I told Char that I loved their family picture collage.
This is what it could like if Cookie and I reproduced...ok, probably not...Cookie loves to hold the babies. She held J for a long time, and then moved on to Abby.
D and his Auntie Char hamming it up...surprise!
This is a candy sandwich--two peppermint patties and an M & M.
I'm not a peppermint patty fan, but it sounded pretty good. And, D definitely enjoyed his!
There was way too much food (as always) and other people, but I guess I was a little kid focused.
And then a little crazy focused. After several guests (husbands and big kids) left, the girls and I (honorary) started playing games. We played Durak. Cookie was so dedicated, she even played whilst holding little Abby.
And, then Cookie had to show off her 'monkey toes' skills. She was really quite good like that.
Of course, a fun night was had by all! Friends, family, and children, it doesn't get much better than that!

that's not me holding the cards. Abby was totally into the card game. Char and Greg... you better watch out or Abby may become a card shark.
"Candy" + "sandwich" -- that would be a "candwich" now dont'cha think?
All caught up. Missing you and wishing A) I'd been in MT with you & the fam for Christmas; and B) I were with you now in the DR. Love to you & Wil. ooxx
