Back to Portland for Day 3

Yes, this is the back part of the forward and back...there will be at least three backs before we go forward again.  Think of it as a swing that you are stuck going further and further over the head of the guy that is pushing you.  Now, you are just about to kick him in the face...just kidding.

I'm sorry, but she is so adorable.  Scarlett embroidered the onesie.  You should visit Scarlett's Etsy Shop here.

 Sweet sisters--Abby and Bella!

So precious in her polka dots and puppies!

Bella likes to get dressed up a bit when going out on the town, even if it is just for a walk to the park!
Take note of the boots, purse, coat, and hat!

I just love how light adds so much photos.  This is the Milwaukee, OR water tank.  It looms over the park and playground that we walked to that beautiful day.

Abby looks all comfy.  I think she means, "don't disturb me.  I'm fine."

Looking up, looking down!  This is looking up at Char and Bella through the round tube slide.

Bella was only a little leery of this slide at first.  Once she was on it, it was just her speed!

It was perfect because Bella could control how fast she made her descent!  And, isn't that what we all want?  A little more control--especially of our descent, ha!

 Peek-a-boo, I see you Bella!

As some of you know, I'm not a big fan of swings until the child can get into the swing by themselves and control the swing, but Bella does look like she had a great time.  And, she wasn't in it very long...
Poor little Abby, stuck in the swing and all scrunched up!

We had to get one photo of both girls in the swings before we released Abby...

She is a little cuddle bear!  Look at those eyes!

Abby is such a smiley little pookie!

This is J and Abby in Nordstrom while the moms, aunties and uncle tested out some possible nail polish...we are hoping that someday they will get married...

Abby is a little bear among the otters on the street in Portland...all Cookie's idea.

Cookie was so proud of herself, can you tell?

ECL and I at dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory.  It's a good, inexpensive dinner, including salad or soup, iced tea, coffee, or milk (if you so desire, yuck), and ice cream (spumone if you choose, I always go with vanilla)!

My good friend Maureen and her daughter, Sara, were there too!

This is Sara's daughter, M.  She is adorable.  When she got tired, I told her she could lean into my hand, so she did.  How cute is that?

I LOVE me some OSF (Old Spaghetti Factory OR Oregon Shakespeare Festival -- take your pick). Anyhoo, I always USED to get vanilla but once I finally tried the spumoni? Yumsville. I gotta recommend it. Going there on the 27th, as a matter of fact . . .

miss you.

Kathy--my issue is the dried fruit, especially the cherries, me no likey!! Ha! But, I´m a bit of a vanilla, anyway...

You? A vanilla? AS IF. I take personal credit for lobbying OSF to get the candied fruit out of my spumoni, and since ~1992 they've had the kind WITHOUT candied fruit! You've been missing out for ALMOST TWENTY YEARS!!! Sheesh! More for me!

Okay, that must be why I liked it so much when I tried it for the first time a few years ago (they removed the icky stuff). I seem to remember thinking I was MISREMEMBERING what it looked like, because as a child I thought it looked freaky and was something to avoid. Anyhoo, there's not as much stuff in it now and I strongly recommend you try it. Oh, and tell Yimmy to make me some damn sushi! Are we the only two in the fam who like it?
