Post of the Day--I Do Know How to Read!

Happy Halloween!!

I can't get enough of this picture!  It is from Halloween of 2008, when Jen, Wil, and I went as South Park characters.  Good times, good times!!!  This year I believe we will be having a little party at our new best "happy" friends' (Sammy and Johnny) house.  I'll be baking a cake for the occasion.  I assume some drinking and game playing will be involved, but me thinks no costume, unless I think of something funny, easy, and cool (temperature)...

I wanted to alleviate some fears of the last two posts.  I do actually know how to read; I'm not just watching TV.  This week I have read

Little Bee by Chris Cleave

 butterybooks.com

and Uglies by Scott Westerfield...

simonandschuster.com

I am nearly halfway through Pound for Pound by F. X. Toole

 amazon.com

I'm not a total couch potato slacker!  Plus I have my studies and my students!!

Happy Hallowe'en, Sugar!!

I did not dress up and attended no parties, but I DID enter a pumpkin in the First Annual First Hill Pumpkin Carving Contest. The sponsors are the Sorrento Hotel and the guy who owns The Hideout and Vito's, so the prizes should be pretty cool. Not that I expect to win (I'm not the visual artist), but it's the first year so there are few entrants and that automatically gives me a better chance.

So, if I send you a package Priority Mail, will you get it before you come home on the 6th? Or should I just wait and send it to you in Montana?

Love you & miss you!!

Yay!! Thanks for posting a comment, Kathy! Good luck in the contest, I didn't carve any this year. I'm not much of a carver, though...mostly geometric shapes...poor jack-o-lantern!

Love you!
