Some Friends Are Forever Friends

I don't know about you, but for me, there are some friends whom I may not speak to for two years and then when we do it is as if no time has passed. Addie is one of those friends.

I met Addie when I moved to Montana in sixth grade. We made up fake names and skits, had parties and all sorts of good times that year. Then she moved to Polson (horrible rival town) and we really weren't in touch until she came back our sophomore year. We were immediately best friends again. Life has been like that for the last 21 years. I've moved to Oregon, California, Kenya, and The D.R.; Addie has moved to North Carolina and Maryland. We were together in Montana from 1997-2000. Since then, we have only seen each other sporatically, but it has not mattered. We are still confidantes through and through.

Addie and her sons were in Montana last week. I forgot my camera the first couple times I saw her, but I finally remembered it the last night. When I started to take the picture of us, Addie asked, "how many pictures like this do we have?" I giggled and said, "maybe a few." She seems to think more like 100! It's probably somewhere between...either way, here's one more, and I love you, Addie!
